It has been proven over the years, that staff with knowledge of fire precautions, have responded more quickly and effectively to small outbreaks of fire than staff without any form of training
It is in the early stages of fire that effective use of portable extinguishers can make all the difference between a small or major fire, which could have catastrophic consequences.
This course is for all staff that need to be given basic fire safety training, and will help employers fulfil their obligations under the existing fire Safety legislation and the new Regulatory Reform (fire Safety) Order 2005.
Our courses cover the following topics:-
- Who is responsible for fire Safety?
- An overview of the current legislation.
- Elements of combustion & extinction.
- Correct identification & selection of extinguishers.
- Identifying fire hazards.
- Types & meanings of fire safety signs.
- Action in the event of fire.
- Raising & responding to the Fire Alarm.
- Practical live fire extinguisher training.
Courses are available throughout the year. We will endeavour to accommodate your requirements whether it is for a large number of staff or just one. Courses can be arranged at our training school.
In-house training is available at your premises for five or more members of staff; this is an efficient use of staff time and can be extremely cost effective where a large number of staff need to be trained.
Certificates are provided on the successful completion of the course. |
